Welcome to my new Newsletter 'Transforming Finance in 2026'. My last Newsletter directly led to the creation of my Book 'How to Transform Finance' which is still free to download on my website just click the Book Title above.
In all my previous Newsletters I have introduced myself in case you never met me or have only recently Connected. I am a Business Consultant who specialises in transforming Finance as the name above suggests. My experience has been called upon by Clients ranging from £4BN Turnover to £50M Turnover, in the UK and across Europe.
I have pretty much seen all types of Finance function from high performing to the opposite extreme having been told twice that I was inheriting the worst Finance team possible. In neither case was that true and with leadership and direction both Teams went on to win Awards.
I started my career with Whitbread Beer company, light years ahead of its time and awesome place to work, closely followed by Argos, of which I would say exactly the same. Having worked for two UK powerhouses I furthered my 'Education' as a Consultant with Deloitte and Logica before swimming in the shark infested waters of Interim Management since 2012.
That's me, I love sport, football (Soccer & the GAA) and athletics. All my Books (2), videos (160) and Podcasts are littered with football references to Man Utd, the Dubs and my irreverent sense of humour. However, everyone of them passes on what I learned at the World Famous coalface and yes I do have a penchant for capitals.
I am happy to share, I love to help, whether you are my mates running your own Business or the CEO of a large Corporate I love helping people solve their problems and come rocking out the other side with top class Finance teams.
I have friends from my first day at Whitbread to my most recent Clients and I would say (well I would say it) that I bring my sense of humour to all my projects. You shall not be bored as we work our way together to being best in class.
As an Irishman I have 2 gifts, both shared royally by my compatriots, I can talk and I can write. I have 2 more Books sketched out and one is for Shared Services and the other is for Small Business Owners.
